MODERN HORMONE THERAPY FOR WOMEN

Get Started

Personalised. Doctor-led. Designed around your stage of life.

Many women reach a stage where they no longer feel like themselves. Changes in energy, sleep, mood, libido, skin, body composition, cycle patterns or menopause symptoms can affect daily life, relationships and confidence.

At PremierBODY, we help women understand what may be happening through blood tests, a doctor consultation and a personalised medical review.

Treatment is only prescribed if your doctor finds that your blood results, symptoms, medical history and clinical assessment show a clear need for therapy.

It starts with blood tests

Your hormone therapy journey starts with blood tests, not guesswork.

Before any treatment is considered, we first assess relevant hormone markers and key health indicators through clinically appropriate blood work. These results are then reviewed during your doctor consultation, together with your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, age, cycle changes, menopause or perimenopause stage, current medication and risk profile.

Hormone therapy is only prescribed if your doctor finds that your blood results, symptoms and medical assessment show a clear clinical need for treatment.

Not every patient will require hormone therapy. In some cases, your doctor may recommend lifestyle support, nutritional guidance, supplements, further testing, monitoring or referral before considering treatment.

Blood tests first. Doctor review second. Treatment only where clinically needed.

The Premier Woman Programme

The Premier Woman Programme is a doctor-led assessment and treatment pathway for women experiencing hormonal changes, perimenopause, menopause or symptoms that may be linked to changing hormone levels.

Your programme is built around your individual biology, symptoms and health profile. It is not a one-size-fits-all protocol and it is not an over-the-counter hormone offering.

Your doctor will review your results and discuss which options may be appropriate for you. This may include lifestyle guidance, nutritional support, follow-up testing, medical monitoring and, where clinically indicated, prescription hormone therapy.

NICE menopause guidance supports an individualised approach when identifying, discussing, investigating and managing menopause, and recommends tailoring the discussion of hormone therapy benefits and risks to the person’s age, circumstances and risk factors.

Symptoms women often want to investigate

Hot flushes or night sweats

Episodes of heat, sweating or temperature changes that affect comfort, sleep or daily routine.

Sleep disruption

Difficulty falling asleep, waking during the night or feeling unrested.

Mood changes

Feeling more anxious, irritable, emotionally sensitive or low in mood.

Skin, hair or body changes

Changes in skin texture, hair, muscle tone or body composition that you want to understand medically.

Vaginal dryness or urinary changes

Dryness, discomfort, irritation or other genitourinary symptoms that may occur around menopause.

Energy and motivation changes

Feeling more fatigued, less resilient or not quite like yourself.

Low libido or sexual discomfort

Changes in desire, arousal, confidence, intimacy or vaginal comfort.

Cycle changes

Irregular, heavier, lighter or changing menstrual patterns during the perimenopause transition.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. Hormones may be part of the picture, but sleep, stress, thyroid function, iron levels, medication, metabolic health, lifestyle and other medical factors may also play a role. That is why we test first and treat only where appropriate.

NICE lists menopause-associated symptoms as including vasomotor symptoms such as hot flushes and sweats, genitourinary symptoms such as vaginal dryness, mood effects, musculoskeletal symptoms and sexual difficulties.

A personalised medical approach

Hormone therapy is not about “turning back the clock” or masking symptoms. It is about understanding your health clearly and making informed decisions with proper medical guidance.

Your doctor will discuss potential benefits, risks, alternatives, duration of treatment and follow-up before prescribing anything. If treatment is started, your plan will be reviewed and adjusted where needed.

NICE recommends reviewing menopause treatment at three months to assess tolerability and effectiveness, and then annually unless an earlier review is clinically needed.

Treatment is only prescribed where clinically appropriate

Hormone therapy is not suitable for everyone.

Please tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, have a history of breast cancer, womb cancer, unexplained vaginal bleeding, blood clots, stroke, heart disease, liver disease, migraine with aura, endometriosis, fibroids, thyroid disease, autoimmune disease, or if you are taking prescription medication.

Your doctor will consider your personal and family history before recommending any therapy.

If prescription treatment is required, it is prescribed by the doctor after assessment and supplied through the appropriate pharmacy pathway. If a compounded medicine is required, it is prepared or supplied for you individually through an appropriately authorised South African compounding pharmacy.

I would avoid using “bio-identical” as a headline marketing term. The South African Menopause Society notes that “bioidentical” is a marketing term rather than a scientific term and distinguishes regulated menopausal hormone therapy from compounded menopausal hormone therapy.

HOW IT WORKS

l

1. Complete Questionnaire & Blood Tests

Your first step is to complete your medical questionnaire and arrange your blood tests. These help your doctor understand your current health markers and starting point.

2. The Doctor Consultation

Once your results are available, you will consult with a doctor. Your doctor will review your symptoms, results, medical history, lifestyle, current medication and risk profile.

3. Personalised Recommendation

Your doctor will explain whether hormone therapy is appropriate for you. Your plan may include lifestyle guidance, nutrition support, supplements, monitoring or prescription treatment where clinically needed.

4. Ongoing Review

Your plan is reviewed over time. If treatment is prescribed, your doctor may adjust your plan based on your response, symptoms, safety markers and follow-up results.

PremierBODY Weight Management is a doctor-led assessment and support programme. It is not an over-the-counter product offering and does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed.

Blood tests must be completed before the doctor consultation. During your consultation, your doctor will decide whether you are a suitable candidate for any specific therapy based on your results, health history, medication use and risk profile.

No prescription or compounded medicine is supplied without medical review and a valid prescription.
Individual outcomes vary. Your doctor will discuss realistic goals, safety considerations, monitoring and follow-up with you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need blood tests first?

Yes. Blood tests are the first step in the PremierBODY women’s hormone assessment process.

Will I definitely receive hormone therapy?

No. Hormone therapy is only prescribed if your doctor finds a clinical need based on your blood results, symptoms, medical history and suitability.

Is this only for menopause?

No. Many women come to us during perimenopause, menopause or when they are experiencing symptoms they want to understand medically. Your doctor will assess what is relevant in your case.

Can hormone changes affect sleep, mood and libido?

Hormone changes may contribute to symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep disruption, mood changes, vaginal dryness and sexual difficulties, but these symptoms can also have other causes. A doctor-led assessment helps identify the most appropriate next step.

Is hormone therapy safe?

Hormone therapy may be appropriate for selected patients, but it is not suitable for everyone. Your doctor will review your personal risks, explain potential benefits and side effects, and monitor your treatment if prescribed.

Where does treatment come from?

If treatment is prescribed, it is supplied through the appropriate pharmacy pathway. If a compounded medicine is required, it is prepared or supplied for you individually through an appropriately authorised South African compounding pharmacy.
